The Galiano Open is an annual golf tournament held at Galiano Golf Course on September 12, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Players may choose to play either 9 or 18 holes. The tournament is open to everyone, not just members. Entry includes a BQQ (Betterball) format with great prizes. The course is closed from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the day; tee-off for the tournament begins at 1:00 PM. Entry fee is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. Registration is available online with 40 spots available. Handicap is optional. Players may request preferred tee-off times and partners.

Founded in 1958, Galiano Golf Course is a 9-hole layout with a par of 64 for 18 holes, featuring separate tees on two holes to provide different challenges for a second round. Located on Galiano Island, the course is set within a scenic landscape and offers manicured greens, elevated tee boxes, and strategic sand and water hazards suitable for golfers of all skill levels. The course terrain includes a notable bridge on Hole 7, recently renovated by volunteers. With a slope rating of M97/W110 and course ratings of M60.9/W62.9, the layout provides moderate difficulty. The course remains open year-round, though the clubhouse operates seasonally from May through September. Flexible access is available with multiple starting points (holes 1, 7, or 9), and no tee time reservations are required. Club and cart rentals are available even during off-season months, with green fees collected via an honor system or electronic transfer when the clubhouse is closed.
