Seniors Bowmaker Open

The Seniors Bowmaker Open takes place on Tuesday 8 September 2026 at Wrag Barn Golf & Country Club. This is an open competition for senior golfers (aged 55 and over) played in a Bowmaker format, where the best three out of four scores count per hole. A Wrag Barn Senior will be assigned to play with each 3-person team. Entry fee is £150 per team, which includes tea/coffee and a bacon roll on arrival, followed by a rolling 2-course buffet with tea/coffee after completion of the round. Playing handicap is 100% of course handicap, with a maximum handicap of 30 applied. Entries are limited to 30 teams on a first-come, first-served basis. The closing date for entry is 31 July 2026. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th places, nearest the pin on holes 3 and 12, and £2 prizes open to all entrants. Entry forms must be returned to wragbarn.sob@gmail.com with full payment by bank transfer (reference 'Bowmaker 26'). After 10 August, teams must arrange their own substitutes for any unable to play. Entry fee is non-refundable except if the competition is cancelled, rearranged, or in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the WB Senior's Committee. Entrants must hold a CDH number and WHS handicap.
