The Ed Kane Memorial Tournament takes place on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Bunn Golf Course in Springfield, IL. This is a 4-person team event in which each team counts one gross score and one net score per hole. Players must hold a verifiable handicap; the maximum handicap strokes allowed is 15. Tee times are self-selected between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Entry fee is $60 for professionals and $40 for amateurs, which includes lunch and prize money; green fees and cart fees are paid separately on the day. SPD Season Passes are valid for green fees. Registration deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2026. To enter, download the registration form and submit it with payment to Bunn Golf Course; cheques should be made payable to Bunn G.C.

Prizes

Professional payouts are in cash. Amateur payouts are in the form of SPD Golf Course credit, redeemable for anything at any SPD course (excluding tournament and league fees).

Lawrence Packard, the course features eight par fours and one par three, with a par of 35. The course is distinguished by its absence of bunkers and water hazards, creating a forgiving layout that emphasizes accuracy over power. Tree-lined fairways and smaller greens require precision shot-making despite the lack of traditional hazards. Located at 2900 Clear Lake Avenue in Springfield, Illinois, Bergen offers a straightforward, playable design suitable for recreational golfers. The course features amenities including a practice green, snack bar, and rental equipment. The course record of 27 was set by Dale Scholfield in 1959.
