The Gents Senior Open is an individual stroke play competition for amateur male golfers aged 50 or over, held at Dunning Golf Club on Friday 3rd July 2026. Entrants must hold a valid WHS handicap index and provide their CDH number. The entry fee is £18 per player. The competition is played under the rules of the R&A with local rules of Dunning Golf Club applying. There is no maximum handicap index restriction. The prize fund totals £540 in SGU vouchers, distributed as follows: Overall Scratch Winner £100, Overall Handicap Winner £100, Division 1 (Handicap) 1st £70, 2nd £50, 3rd £30, 4th £20, and Division 2 (Handicap) 1st £70, 2nd £50, 3rd £30, 4th £20. The field is split into two divisions via a post-competition autobalance process to ensure 50% of entrants compete in each division. No competitor is eligible to win more than one prize. Ties are decided by traditional countback (inward half, then last 6, 3, etc.). Trophies remain the property of Dunning Golf Club and are retained in the Clubhouse. Entry requires completing the paper entry form and returning it with payment (cheques payable to Dunning Golf Club) to the Match Secretary, including a stamped addressed envelope. Entry fees are non-refundable if cancelled within 7 days of the competition.
