Charity Day 2026 at The Mendip Golf Club, played on Saturday 27 June 2026. Format is Shambles (a Texas Scramble variant): all players tee off on each hole and the team selects the best drive; all players then place their own ball within one club length of that spot (no nearer the hole, without improving the lie) and play their own ball from there. The best two scores on each hole count toward the team total. Scoring is Stableford with an 85% handicap allowance (not 95% as previously stated). Men play from Yellow tees (max handicap 28); Ladies play from Red tees (max handicap 36). Tee times run from 08:00 to 14:00. Entry fee is £20 per member and £40 per visitor. Online signup closes at 08:00 on 22 June 2026. Coffee and bacon rolls provided on arrival. On-course activities include a chipping competition on the 17th tee, a putting competition, and a 100-yard bullseye challenge on the driving range using a GC3 launch monitor. A 'Pro Shot' option is available on a designated hole (£2.50 per player for the professional to play the tee shot, with all players playing from that position). Fundraising activities include a raffle and silent auction; all proceeds go to charity. Hole sponsorship is available at £200 per hole, including team entry. The 10th tee will have hospitality with food and drinks sponsored by Steve Morris, along with a water station and cakes/biscuits for sale.
