The Mixed Open is a pairs competition (one gentleman and one lady per pair) played at Sherwood Forest Golf Club, Eakring Road, Mansfield, on Thursday 3 September 2026. The format is Stableford with an 85% handicap allowance. Men play off the White tees and ladies off the Red tees. Entry is open to visitors and members. A CDH number is required for non-members; iGolf handicaps are not accepted. The entry fee of £150.00 per pair (visitors) includes food — please notify the catering team of any special dietary requirements at the time of booking. A members' rate of £80.00 per pair is also available. No refund is given within 14 days of the event. Smart casual dress is required in the Dining Room. Online booking opened from Monday 26 January 2026 at 9:30am; entry closes at 8:00am on 3 September 2026.

Sherwood Forest Golf Club is a prestigious heathland course located in the East Midlands near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, situated within Clipstone Woods of the legendary Sherwood Forest. The course was initially designed by Harry Colt and subsequently enhanced by James Braid, establishing it as one of the oldest and finest heathland courses in Great Britain. The club is ranked 84th in the British Isles and 35th in England, and has been recognized by Golf Monthly, Golf World, and Today's Golfer as one of the top 100 courses in England. The course is characterized by its classic heathland setting, featuring pines, silver birch, and oak trees that define the landscape and challenge. As a championship venue, Sherwood Forest has hosted numerous prestigious national competitions, including the 2006 England Boy's Amateur Stroke Play Championships, British and English Seniors championships, regional Open Championship qualifying, the Brabazon Trophy, and the 2022 McGregor Trophy. The club received the England Golf Championship venue of the year award in 2023, testament to its standing as a premier championship course.
