Windyhill Golf Club is an 18-hole hillside course located in Bearsden, Glasgow, offering spectacular views across the Glasgow area. The course is characterized by its challenging terrain with slopes that create shots requiring golfers to play balls above and below their feet. The layout presents a moderate to challenging difficulty level, with members and reviewers highlighting both the scenic beauty and technical demands of the course. The course features stunning vistas throughout, with particular note of hole 10, where a hole-in-one was witnessed. The greens are maintained to high standards by the greenkeeping team, though winter play may involve seasonal adjustments such as fairway mats. Summer golf at Windyhill is considered particularly appealing due to the combination of views and course conditions. The club hosts regular competitions throughout the year, including the Windyhill Trophy, the Ainslie-Brown Horn, and the Jubilee Trophy. Winter golf rates are significantly reduced compared to summer rates, allowing year-round play. The course welcomes affiliated club members, casual visitors, and partners with organizations such as PlayMoreGolf and Golfamore.
