Men's Northern Open

The Men's Northern Open takes place September 5-7, 2026 at Smithers Golf Club. This individual competition uses Stableford scoring, rewarding players for net points rather than traditional stroke play. Smithers Golf Club, established in 1931, is an 18-hole course nestled at the foot of Hudson Bay Mountain in the Bulkley Valley of British Columbia. The course features rolling hills, mature trees, and a winding creek that flows throughout the layout, with water hazards present on six holes. Surrounded by stunning mountain views on all sides, the course presents a challenging design suitable for both high and low handicap players. A defining characteristic of Smithers Golf Club is its four particularly demanding Par 3 holes, each requiring precise shotmaking to achieve par or better, making them the primary test of skill on the course.
