Winterstone Golf Course

Independence, MO, United States

WinterStone Golf Course opened in 2003 in Independence, Missouri, developed on the site of a former limestone mine. The course was designed by Craig Schreiner Golf Course Architects, a respected local firm with national recognition. Set on 150 acres, the course features a distinctive Ozarks-like setting characterized by wooded terrain, significant elevation changes, towering trees, lakes, and creeks that create a scenic and challenging landscape. The course's layout leverages the natural topography and water features from the former mining operation, resulting in a visually striking design that integrates the property's unique geological history. The combination of elevation changes and natural obstacles provides moderate to challenging playing conditions for golfers of varying skill levels. WinterStone offers comprehensive golf services including instruction from Class-A PGA professionals, membership options, and tournament hosting facilities, establishing itself as both a public play destination and event venue within the Independence area.
