The Mid-Handicap Open is played at Strathaven Golf Club (White Tees) on Sunday 16th August 2026, with tee times between 07:30 and 16:00. The competition is open to all male adult golfers holding a CDH number and a WHS handicap index between 5.7 and 17.4. It is an 18-hole individual strokeplay (Medal) competition with a 95% handicap allowance. Entry fee is £35.00 for visitors and £25.00 for members. Signup closes at 12:00pm on 14th August 2026. In the event of a tie, the winner is decided by standard countback. There is an optional sweep of £5.00 for the overall best nett scores (allocated across 1st to 5th place). No refunds are issued within 7 days of the competition. OpenPlay golfers are not permitted to participate. For further information, email gc@strathavengc.com.

Strathaven Golf Club is located in South Lanarkshire, approximately 20 miles from Glasgow City Centre, and boasts a 115-year history. In 2023, the greenstaff received recognition at the BIGGA award ceremony for a major project involving the redesign of the 7th and 9th holes. The club has hosted numerous professional and international amateur events throughout its history, including the 2021 Scottish Girls' Amateur Championship. The course welcomes both members and visiting golfers, offering playing and social membership options for players of varying skill levels.
