Bolton Old Links Golf Club is an 18-hole moorland championship course designed by the renowned architect Alister MacKenzie. Located in Bolton, United Kingdom, it features a challenging Par-72 layout comprising two loops of nine holes, with the front nine surrounded by the back nine. The course sits in an exposed moorland setting where wind is a significant factor in play. The terrain offers magnificent panoramic views, particularly from the 12th hole at the course's highest point, which overlooks four surrounding counties. The course is characterized by its demanding greens that contribute substantially to its difficulty level. Bolton Old Links has hosted prestigious tournaments including the 2023 Lancashire Amateur Open Championship and serves as home to the Lancashire PGA Open. The club features on-site facilities including a resident PGA Professional, a well-stocked pro shop, buggy and trolley hire, and a state-of-the-art indoor swing studio with a GC2 simulator.
