Golf International de Pont Royal is an 18-hole championship course designed by legendary Severiano Ballesteros, located in the Luberon region of Provence between Aix-en-Provence and Avignon. The course has been named Best Course in France four consecutive years (2021-2024) by World Golf Awards and holds silver certification for biodiversity.
The Ballesteros course features strategic tee positions and diverse shot requirements across velvet fairways and demanding greens integrated into the natural Provençal landscape. The terrain combines lakes, garrigues, and pine forests creating a spectacular setting. The course presents tactical and technical challenges designed to test golfers of all levels.
Complementing the main layout are a 6-hole technical course called La Durance, designed for both advanced players seeking rigorous practice and beginners progressing their skills, and a 3-hole Pitch & Putt facility for short-game refinement. The facility includes a tiered practice range with views of the Luberon mountains.
As a competition venue, Pont Royal hosted European Tour events from 1994 to 2023, establishing itself as a premier tournament destination in French golf.
