Firle Road
Seaford, East Sussex, United Kingdom
Seaford Golf Club is an 18-hole downland course located on the edge of the South Downs National Park near Seaford, East Sussex, with commanding views towards the Sussex coast and Rathfinny vineyards. Designed and built by legendary five-time Open Champion JH Taylor in 1907, the course embraces natural features with gentle gradients characteristic of quality downland golf. The underlying chalk ensures excellent drainage, making the course playable when many others are closed, with firm fairways and greens presenting a consistent challenge. Currently undergoing improvements guided by Creative Golf Design's Ken Moodie, which include bunker reconstruction, scrub clearance, and new pathways, with nine holes completed to positive reception. The course is recognized as one of Sussex's finest. The charming clubhouse overlooks the 18th green and 1st tee, with a sun terrace providing social facilities. The club offers a Dormy House with en-suite accommodation, full English breakfast, and five-course evening meals for extended golfing stays.
