Open Amateur Mixed Team Event at Formby Ladies Golf Club. Teams of 4, comprising 2 ladies and 2 gentlemen. Played on Red tees for both men and ladies. Stableford format with 85% handicap allowance. Maximum handicap index: 35 for ladies, 26 for men; players with a higher handicap index may participate but must play off these limits. Club members and FGC PR members may enter but are not eligible to win prizes. Prizes are awarded as Pro Shop vouchers, redeemable at the FLGC Pro Shop only. Entry fee is £260 per team of 4. Online entry closes at 8:00am on 3 September 2026.

Set amongst the pine trees and sand dunes of the Lancashire Coast, Formby Ladies Golf Course weaves through the central area of Formby Golf Club, framed by vibrant purple heather and firm linksland. The course measures 5,356 yards from the red markers with a par of 71, offering a unique and varied challenge suited to golfers of all abilities. The layout is characterized by tight fairways and well-guarded greens that demand skill and precision. While higher handicappers and shorter hitters find the course relatively forgiving, lower handicap players face significant difficulty in scoring well. Indigenous heather protects much of the rough, requiring caution at numerous holes. The course is part of the Ainsdale Sand Dunes National Nature Reserve, managed by Natural England. This distinctive setting supports thriving wildlife including red squirrels, foxes, pheasants and kestrels. The dunes host over 450 plant species, including 33 that are locally or regionally rare, plus sand lizards, great-crested newts and a variety of orchids. The reserve is notably one of Europe's best remaining strongholds for the rare natterjack toad.
