Tour Information

The Real Federación Española de Golf (RFEG) serves as the national governing body for golf in Spain rather than operating as a competitive amateur tour. Established in 1932 and headquartered at the Centro Nacional de Golf in Madrid, the RFEG administers golf competitions, oversees the World Handicap System for approximately 300,000 federated members, and manages Spanish national teams across various categories including men's, women's, youth, senior, and adapted golf divisions.

The federation organizes official national championships and competitions through specialized committees for different player categories, including masculine, feminine, juvenile, professional, and pitch & putt competitions. Players must hold an active RFEG license to participate in sanctioned events, with membership renewed annually. The federation works in cooperation with regional autonomous golf federations throughout Spain to coordinate competitions at local and national levels.

The RFEG offers the Ruta 365 initiative, which promotes year-round golf across more than 220 courses nationwide with accessible tournaments and special playing opportunities. Members access competition registration, handicap tracking, and activity records through the official RFEG smartphone application. The federation emphasises rules education, player development programs, and maintains competitive integrity through its various technical committees while enforcing USGA Rules of Golf across all sanctioned competitions.
