The 40th Illinois State Senior Amateur Championship is a 54-hole stroke play event conducted annually by the Chicago District Golf Association, first held in 1987. Open to Illinois residents age 55 and older with a handicap not exceeding 10.4. The full field plays 36 holes over two days, with the low 35 players and ties advancing to the final 18 holes on the third day. Players must reach their 55th birthday on or before September 14, 2026 to be eligible. The winner receives the Earl R. Liff Trophy. Entry fee is $250.00. A Low Super Senior category is available for players who have reached their 65th birthday on or before the start of the championship. Ties are resolved by an immediate three-hole total-stroke playoff, followed by sudden victory if necessary.
