The Circuito de Golf Sotogrande is an amateur golf tour based in the Sotogrande area of southern Spain, organised by Grupo HCP. Now in its thirteenth edition in 2026, the circuit has established itself as one of the leading amateur tour series in Spain, typically attracting over 700 participants across a season. The format consists of six qualifying rounds played between May and November, followed by a Grand Final. Each qualifying round is held at a different course within and around the Sotogrande area, giving participants access to some of the most highly regarded layouts in southern Europe. Past venues have included Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Valderrama, La Reserva de Sotogrande, Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort, The San Roque Club, Almenara Golf, and La Canada Golf Club. The Grand Final for the 2026 season is scheduled at the Parador de El Saler in Valencia. Rounds are played in individual Stableford format. Handicap limits apply -- historically set at 24.4 for men and 32.4 for women -- making the circuit open to a broad range of amateur golfers. Players can enter individual rounds without committing to the full season, though a minimum of three rounds must be completed to qualify for the Grand Final ranking. The ranking is determined by cumulative points earned across qualifying events, with the top pairs in both scratch and handicap categories advancing to the Final. Each event typically includes a welcome pack, prize presentation, and social elements such as gourmet areas and prize draws.
