Skerries Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course established in 1905 in the seaside town of Skerries, North County Dublin, approximately 25 minutes from Dublin Airport. Originally designed as a 9-hole layout in 1906, the course expanded to 18 holes in 1971 under the direction of renowned Irish golf course architect Eddie Hackett.
The course presents a challenging layout with a par of 73 for men and 74 for ladies. From the medal tees, it stretches 6,116 meters. The design features undulating fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and abundant mature trees that provide character and definition throughout. The opening holes are notably demanding, followed by fast greens that test accuracy.
Located on the edge of Skerries town, the course offers panoramic coastal views, particularly from its elevated sections where golfers can see the Mourne Mountains and Wicklow Mountains on clear days, along with views of nearby islands. The finishing hole is highlighted as one of Ireland's most impressive, combining challenging play with spectacular coastal vistas.
The club provides comprehensive facilities including a practice ground, short game area, putting green, and warm-up facilities. The course hosts various competitions and events throughout the year.
