Founded in 1972, Bedlingtonshire Golf Club is located just half a mile south of Bedlington town centre in Northumberland, offering a tranquil setting amid rolling countryside. Designed by renowned Dutch architect Frank Pennink, the course provides a fair but challenging test of golf with an 18-hole layout culminating in an exciting finish.
The course's signature feature is "the park"—holes 13, 14, and 15—located in the eldest section on mature ground outside the former opencast site. These holes present a formidable sequence: tight par-4s at 13 and 15 bracketing a beautiful par-3 14th. The back nine continues demanding play with the 449-yard par-4 16th, where a bogey is considered solid, and the 194-yard par-3 17th playing longer than expected uphill. The closing hole is a 521-yard par-5 finishing toward the clubhouse with strategically placed bunkers.
