The Gentlemens Pairs Competition takes place at Prestbury Golf Club, Macclesfield Road, Cheshire, SK10 4BJ on 18 June 2026. The course is a Harry Colt design measuring 6,319 yards from the black tees (Par 71, CR 72.1) and is regarded as one of the finest inland courses in the North West of England. The event is a two-player Four Ball Betterball open competition for men, with a maximum playing handicap of 28 (after adjustments). Entry is open to bona fide amateur members of recognised golf clubs; proof of handicap will be required from prize winners. The entry fee is £75.00 per pair (same price for members and visitors). Bookings can be cancelled via the website using a unique reference number. Cancellations made more than one month before the event receive a full refund; cancellations within one month may forfeit the full entry fee. The booking is transferable — if you cannot attend, you may pass your tee time to another player. There is no formal presentation; prize winners may collect prizes on the day, or prizes will be sent by email on the Monday following the event. Players wishing to use a buggy must contact the Pro Shop in advance and provide a valid medical certificate.

Prestbury Golf Club is a parkland course situated in Cheshire, approximately 15 miles south of Manchester near Macclesfield. Founded in 1920, the course was designed by the renowned Harry Colt and is ranked 83rd in England's Top 100 courses, with recent recognition as fourth in the Cheshire region. The layout takes full advantage of the site's dramatic elevation changes and hilly terrain, creating an undulating course that challenges golfers of all levels. The sandy subsoil ensures exceptional drainage throughout the year. The course features recently refurbished bunkers and is described as offering an excellent balance between challenge and physical beauty. With its traditional private members' club focus, Prestbury hosts various competitions including open tournaments and society events. The club provides practice facilities and a teaching academy alongside the main course. The clubhouse includes an extended outside terrace for post-round enjoyment, and the course is maintained to high standards year-round, making it suitable for play in all seasons.
