OGCC Captain’s Challenge 2026

Shotgun start from the 1st and 10th tees at 14:00

Competition Classes:

Men HCP 0–17.9 (white tees) – Handicap Stroke Play

Men HCP 18.0–35.9 (yellow tees) – Handicap Stroke Play

Women HCP 0–35.9 (red tees) – Handicap Stroke Play

Senior Ladies HCP 0–35.9 (red tees) – Handicap Stroke Play

Seniors HCP 0–35.9 (yellow tees) – Handicap Stroke Play

General Class HCP 36.0–54.0 (red tees) – Stableford

Male Veterans 65+ play from the blue tees

If there are fewer than five (5) participants in a competition class, the classes will be combined.

Registration:
The registration deadline is 25 June 2026 at 23:55.
Registration is available via Otepää Golf Centre Golfbox and through the Caddiemaster at info@otepaagolf.com.

Publication of Starting Times:
The starting order will be published no later than 1 July 2026 at 12:00.

Rules:
The competition is played according to the Rules of Golf approved by R&A Ltd., the competition regulations, and local rules.

Ties:
In the event of tied results, the player with the lower handicap will be declared the winner.
If handicaps are also equal, the results of the last 9 holes, last 6 holes, last 3 holes, and finally the last hole will determine the winner for prize positions.
If the scratch result is tied, a playoff will be held on holes determined by the competition committee to decide the winner with the best stroke play score.

Participation:
The maximum number of participants is 120.
In case of over-registration, preference will be given to sponsors of Otepää Golf Centre.

Entry Fee:
The entry fee includes catering, use of a trolley, and a token.
For players without playing rights, the entry fee includes the competition green fee.

If a player withdraws after the publication of tee times, the player is required to compensate the organiser for all costs incurred, i.e. pay the full entry fee.
If a player withdraws after the registration deadline, the player is required to pay 50% of the entry fee.

Prize Giving:
Awards will be given to the top three players in each competition class, the best junior, best scratch woman, best scratch man, and winners of special competitions.
The names of the female and male players achieving the best scratch result, together with the year of the competition, will be engraved on the OGCC Captain’s Challenge travelling trophy.
