Doncaster Golf Club was founded in 1894 and relocated to its current location at The Warren on the southern outskirts of Doncaster in 1909. The course is an attractive blend of heathland and parkland built on sandy subsoil, which provides excellent drainage and allows year-round play with trolleys and buggies. The course was redesigned in 1978, and a new clubhouse with balconies overlooking the 1st tee and 18th green opened in 1992.
