Players must hold an official WHS Handicap Index of 27.0 or lower (maximum playing handicap 28); players with a higher index must play off a handicap allocated by the Match Secretary, capped at 28. Tee times run from 10:02 to 13:06. Standard golf club dress code applies (see falkirkgolfclub.co.uk/dress-code); golf shoes with metal or soft spikes must be worn on the course.

Falkirk Golf Club

Falkirk, Scotland

Falkirk Golf Club, established in 1922 and known locally as Carmuirs, is an 18-hole parkland course set in central Scotland. The layout benefited from refinements by legendary designer James Braid, who implemented strategic bunkering and improved greens and tees. Located near Camelon, the course is wonderfully positioned in the heart of central Scotland and is described as one of the best parkland courses in the country. The signature 10th hole, 'Canal Wheel,' offers panoramic views of the iconic Falkirk Wheel, providing a distinctive landmark feature. The 18th hole, 'Hame,' is noted for its stunning design. The course tests all elements of a golfer's game and welcomes players of all levels. Falkirk Golf Club holds the distinction of being an Official Scottish Golf Championship Venue, hosting the prestigious Scottish Golf Medal Finals in May 2025. The club maintains excellent facilities including a PGA Professional Team, pro shop, and practice amenities. Both 18-hole and 9-hole options are available, making it accessible to various skill levels.
