Downfield Golf Club is a championship parkland course located in Dundee, Scotland's sunniest city. Recognized as one of Scotland's top inland courses, it features majestic woodland surroundings with natural wildlife including deer, buzzards, water fowl, and squirrels. The course presents a challenging test of golf requiring length and accuracy off the tee, with numerous memorable holes that appeal to golfers of all abilities. Downfield holds significant tournament history as the birthplace of the Scottish Open, which it hosted in its inaugural year of 1972. Most recently, it served as a qualifying venue for the 2024 Senior Open.
