Golf de Massane is an 18-hole championship course located on the outskirts of Montpellier, spanning 70 hectares of natural landscape. Designed by renowned Californian architect Ronald Fream in 1988, the course harmoniously integrates with its surrounding natural environment, combining aesthetic appeal with technical challenge suitable for players of all levels.
The layout offers stimulating play across varied terrain, with the course designed to balance sport and natural beauty. In addition to the main 18-hole layout, a compact 9-hole course serves beginners and advanced players seeking to develop or refine their skills. The facility includes a two-level practice range with 24 stations equipped with advanced Trackman technology for precision swing analysis.
Golf de Massane has notable significance in European golf instruction, having hosted the first Leadbetter Golf Academy since 1989 under the direction of Nicolas Bes. The academy operates as a high-level training campus attracting approximately 40 junior players from across Europe, offering modern instruction methods for beginners, intermediate players, and professional circuit competitors. The course regularly hosts competitive tournaments and golfing events.
