The North of England Under 16's Open Championship is a 72-hole scratch strokeplay competition played over three days at Heswall Golf Club. The event is open to amateur golfers of all nationalities, both boys and girls, who are under 16 years of age on 1st January 2026. Players must hold a valid WHS Handicap Index not exceeding 7.4, which must be current and applicable on the event date (26th August 2026). After 36 holes played over the first two days, a cut is made, and the remaining competitors play a further 36 holes on Day 3. An Under 14 category is also included within the Championship. If the event is over-subscribed, a ballot will be conducted on a handicap basis. Entries close at 5:00pm UK time on Friday 24th July 2026. Late entries will not be accepted.
