The 102nd Birchmont Tournament is a six-day amateur match-play tournament held at Bemidji Town & Country Club on the north shore of Lake Bemidji, Minnesota. Open to golfers from any location — past participants have come from across Minnesota, multiple US states, and Canada. Qualifying rounds are held Monday and Tuesday (July 27–28); match play begins Wednesday (July 29). Players are flighted based on qualifying scores. Divisions are as follows — Men's Championship (ages 15+): 36-hole qualifying, low 32 qualify for championship flight; Men's Executive (ages 30+): 36-hole qualifying, low 16 qualify; Men's Senior (ages 50+): 36-hole qualifying, low 16 qualify; Men's Masters (ages 65+): 18-hole qualifying, low 16 qualify; Women's Championship (ages 15+): 18-hole qualifying, low 16 qualify; Junior 17U (ages 13–17): 18-hole qualifying, low 8 qualify; Junior 12U (ages 9–12): 9-hole qualifying, low 8 qualify (9-hole matches). Bemidji Town and Country Club is an 18-hole par 72 golf course located on the north shore of Lake Bemidji in Minnesota. Founded in 1916, the course features a scenic landscape bordered by majestic Norway pines and natural greens that overlook the lake. The setting is distinctive, with accessibility by boat via Lake Bemidji offering a unique approach to the facility. The course welcomes golfers of all skill levels and is open to the public with membership options available. It is renowned for hosting several prestigious tournaments, including the 102nd Birchmont Tournament, an amateur match-play event with divisions for varying skill levels, as well as Minnesota MGA and collegiate tournaments. The club also hosts the Vandersluis Tournament and various fundraising events throughout the season. Beyond golf, the facility offers the North Shore Grille restaurant with panoramic views of the course and lake, along with event space for weddings and special occasions.
