RTJ Golf Trail at Hampton Cove is a 54-hole facility located in Huntsville, Alabama, serving as the northern gateway to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The property features three distinct courses with dramatically different characteristics and terrain.
The Highlands Course is renowned for its picturesque setting, featuring long waving grasses framing rolling terrain and bent grass greens. A notable landmark is the historic mule barn beside the fifth hole, while the finishing holes are among the most scenic and challenging on the entire Trail.
The River Course is unique as the only Robert Trent Jones design worldwide without bunkers, built on former soybean fields in the Flint River floodplain. It features water hazards on 16 of 18 holes, testing shot-making ability with a throwback design philosophy using natural elevation changes.
The Short Course offers a links-style layout with water in play on 11 holes, accommodating golfers of all skill levels with alternating tees that allow players to use every club in their bag.
