Seneca Golf Course

OH, United States

Seneca Golf Course is a 36-hole, championship-length parkland-style golf course located in Broadview Heights, Ohio, situated at the highest point of Cuyahoga County. Opened on August 1, 1940, the course sprawls across 350 acres and is known for its lengthy par fours and fives that challenge golfers of all skill levels. Notable holes include Furnace Run #8, a demanding 603-yard par 5 that plays into the prevailing wind with a pond guarding the right side of the green, and Furnace Run #3, a medium-length par 5 featuring three fairway bunkers and a creek affecting approach shots. The Chippewa course's 6th hole presents strategic options with its fairway winding around a pond. The course features five sets of tee boxes, accommodating golfers of varying abilities. Its beautiful parkland aesthetic showcases wooded, scenic terrain. Arnold Palmer praised it as "a good testing course." In 2011, Cleveland Metroparks acquired and began renovating the course into its former gem status. Accessibility features include Solorider golf carts for individuals needing mobility assistance.
