Shootout at the Creek – Member-Guest

The Shootout at the Creek Member-Guest takes place April 16-18, 2026 at Origins Golf Course. This pairs event welcomes competitors of all skill levels and uses Stableford scoring to keep the competition engaging throughout the tournament. Teams will compete for bragging rights in this open-format member-guest competition.

Origins Golf Course is a 10-hole par 3 course designed by Davis Love III, located at Watersound Club in Inlet Beach, Florida. The course spans approximately 1,800 yards and was developed with a "short course" concept emphasizing accessibility and enjoyment for families, beginners, and casual golfers. The design features a non-penal layout that appeals to novices while maintaining regulation-length holes and greens that provide sufficient challenge and strategy for experienced players. This approach reflects the Scottish origins of golf, where six, nine, and twelve-hole courses were historically common. The course is situated within a coastal sanctuary setting featuring natural pine forests and wetlands. It successfully balances approachability with playability, making golf more fun and attractive to all skill levels. Members of Watersound Club enjoy complimentary access to Origins Golf Course, which complements the club's other championship courses designed by Tom Fazio and Greg Norman.
