Gloucester Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course with a par of 70, located on Robinswood Hill overlooking Gloucestershire's picturesque countryside. The course features distinctive elevation changes, descending from 600 feet to 200 feet, creating varied and interesting terrain that is considered the most challenging in the region. Six new lakes were added around the front nine holes, enhancing drainage and playability while increasing the course's difficulty.
The club transitioned to a private members-only facility in 2017 and has undergone significant modernization, with over £200,000 invested in new machinery and course improvements. Membership has grown substantially from 300 to over 600 members since privatization. The facility includes a flood-lit 13-bay Top Tracer driving range for practice and warm-up. The course is noted for its excellent condition and professional management, hosting various society events and tournaments throughout the year.
