Seniors Open

The Seniors Open is an individual stableford competition held at Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club on Thursday 3rd September 2026. Open to gentlemen seniors aged 60 years and over, the event is played off 95% handicap with a maximum handicap index of 26. The entry fee is £45.00 per person, which includes coffee on arrival and one course meal after play. There will be a two-tee start using the 1st and 10th yellow tees from 09:30. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in two handicap divisions for visitors, with separate prizes for SSGC members. The overall winner receives the Shanklin & Sandown Veterans Cup, and there is an additional prize for the highest score by a player aged 75 or older. Prize presentation is expected from around 16:00. Entries close on Thursday 20th August 2026. Please return the completed entry form with payment to the Seniors Open Organiser at Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club, or pay by BACS. A 20% fare discount is available from Wightlink Ferries. Dress code: smart casual for play and presentations.
