19th annual U.S. Hickory Open, presented by the Society of Hickory Golfers (SoHG), hosted by Northwest Hickory Players (NWHP) at Gearhart Golf Links, Gearhart, OR. Practice round on September 11th; competition rounds September 12–13. Hickory clubs required. Registration is handled via the SoHG website and is expected to become available after the preceding year's US Hickory Open concludes. Previous editions at this venue have sold out, so early registration is advised. The event is open to hickory golf collectors and enthusiasts. This is only the third time the USHO has been held in the western United States.

Gearhart Golf Links is an 18-hole links-style golf course located in Gearhart on the North Oregon Coast of Oregon. Founded in 1891, it is among the oldest golf courses west of the Mississippi River, originating when Scottish settlers recreated their homeland's golf traditions in the coastal dunes. The course has been shaped by several notable architects, including Chandler Egan, who was renowned for his work at Pebble Beach and other prominent Oregon courses. The course features authentic links-style golf with open vistas and firm, fast playing surfaces characteristic of traditional Scottish courses. It operates as a public resort course with a membership capped at 230, remaining open 364 days annually. The landscape resembles the ancient courses of St. Andrews and Montrose, with challenging terrain from the back tees. A significant restoration in 2013 enhanced the links character and playability. Gearhart Golf Links is twinned with Carne Golf Links in Ireland, reflecting shared values and commitment to classic golf traditions. The course has hosted tournaments and maintains a reputation as a hidden gem among serious golfers seeking authentic links golf experiences in North America.
