Golf Barrière Saint-Julien, opened in 1989, is located in the Pays d'Auge region near Pont-l'Évêque in Normandy. Designed by Alain Pratt and Bill Baker with British architectural inspiration, the course features two distinct layouts spanning 90 hectares of meticulously maintained grounds.
Le Vallon is an 18-hole championship course (6,035 meters, Par 72) that overlooks the Touques valley. It presents a relatively straightforward front nine with numerous birdie opportunities for experienced players, set against panoramic vistas of flowering apple orchards typical of the Norman landscape.
Le Bocage, a 9-hole course (2,258 meters, Par 33), is designed for less advanced players and intermediate golfers. Its minimal rough makes it ideal for beginners seeking to develop their skills.
The facility includes comprehensive practice areas: 10 covered and 20 open driving range stations, a putting green, practice bunker, and approach green. The Golf Barrière Academy, led by instructor Julien Xanthopoulos, offers instruction programs for all levels. A clubhouse positioned overlooking the greens provides regional cuisine and exceptional countryside views.
