Guildford Golf Club, established in 1886 and redesigned by J H Taylor, is situated on the chalk Merrow Downs in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The 18-hole course measures 6,160 yards and is built on typical Surrey downland terrain with rolling slopes bordered by attractive woodlands.
