The 99th Annual Vern Fryklund Northwest Invitational is one of Minnesota's oldest amateur golf tournaments, established in 1928. Held at Mesaba Country Club, Hibbing, Minnesota. The event runs Friday 4 September through Monday 7 September 2026, preceded by an optional Thursday practice round. The format is individual match play across multiple flights to ensure all ability levels are competitive. A strokeplay qualifying round is held on Friday 4 September, followed by three days of match play competition; the field is cut in half after Sunday's round. The field is limited to the first 200 paid entrants. Online applications will be available from 1 June 2026. RV and camping facilities are available during tournament week. Entrants must be amateur golfers.
