The 99th Annual Vern Fryklund Northwest Invitational is a premier individual matchplay golf tournament held at Mesaba Country Club in Hibbing, Minnesota, from September 4-7, 2026. The event features a strokeplay qualifying round on Friday, September 4th, followed by three days of matchplay competition (Saturday through Monday). The field is limited to the first 208 paid entrants. Divisions include Championship (age 16+), Senior Championship (age 50+), Super Senior Championship (age 65+), and Regular/Senior flights. Entry fees are $275 (early bird before Aug 15) or $300 (after Aug 15); $210/$235 for ages 18 and under. Entry includes a Thursday practice round, tee gifts, drink tickets, Friday evening banquet, Sunday cocktails, and gift certificates exceeding $18,000.
