Liphook Golf Club

Liphook, West Sussex, England

Liphook Golf Club is a traditional inland heathland course that opened in 1923 and has earned recognition from the R&A as an exemplary example of its type. Located in Hampshire, the course represents an early example of strategic design principles in golf course architecture. The layout features 18 holes across classic heathland terrain, characterized by the natural sandy soil and sparse vegetation typical of the region. The course is noted for its challenging design that rewards strategic shot-making and course management. Its heathland setting provides an authentic, traditional golfing experience with naturally undulating fairways and firm playing surfaces. The course has established itself as one of the country's notable inland courses, attracting golfers seeking a test of skill in a historically significant venue. Its reputation stems from both its design integrity and the quality of its maintained playing surfaces throughout the seasons.
