Colonial Oaks Golf Club is an 18-hole public golf course located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, founded in 1968. Designed by golf professional Pat Riley, a Fort Wayne native, the course remains family-owned and operated by the Riley family.
The mature course measures just under 6,600 yards and features characteristic bent grass greens, tees, and fairways complemented by grand oak trees throughout. The design incorporates water hazards and Bogey Creek, which crosses the course ten times during a round, creating strategic challenges. Bunkers are strategically placed to equalize play across all skill levels, while non-play areas showcase native wildflowers and grasses that enhance the landscape and support the local ecosystem.
The course layout encourages players to utilize every club in their bag despite being walkable. The combination of water features, creek crossings, and selective bunker placement creates a well-balanced design that accommodates golfers of varying abilities. The established oak trees and mature landscape provide both aesthetic appeal and challenging playing conditions across the 18-hole layout.
