Oak Hill Country Club's East Course is a championship-caliber layout located on a 355-acre campus in Rochester, New York. Designed by the legendary Donald Ross, the course features fairways lined with oak trees planted by local physician John R. Williams. The East Course was restored to Ross's original specifications in 2019, returning to the designer's philosophy of bringing "out of the player the best golf that is in him." The course has established itself as one of America's premier championship venues, hosting an exceptional tournament history including four PGA Championships, three U.S. Opens, two U.S. Amateurs, the U.S. Senior Open, two Senior PGA Championships, and the 1995 Ryder Cup. Signature hole #13 exemplifies the course's design character. Oak Hill's East Course is notable as the only course in America to host all six rotating men's major golf championships. The layout presents a grueling test of golf, reflecting the demanding nature typical of Donald Ross designs that challenge players to execute their best golf.
