Royal Jersey Golf Club

Grouville, Jersey

Royal Jersey Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Grouville, Jersey, Channel Islands, set on 74 acres of Crown-owned land. The course measures 6,177 yards from the championship tees with a par of 70 (71 from red tees), featuring five par-3 holes designed to challenge golfers of all abilities. The course is characterized by its exposure to sea breezes, which significantly impact playability and difficulty. The routing provides notable views of Mont Orgueil Castle and the French coastline visible from the clubhouse and surrounding holes. The 17th and 18th greens are particularly scenic, with the clubhouse and terrace overlooking these finishing holes. Established over 140 years ago, Royal Jersey has deep historical roots in Channel Islands golf. The club is notably connected to Harry Vardon, a Grouville native who won the first of his record six Open Championships in 1896. The course combines traditional links-style challenges with a well-appointed clubhouse facility, making it a distinctive golfing destination that welcomes both members and visitors seeking a challenging round in a historic setting.
