Founded in 1896, Dullatur Golf Club operates two parkland courses in Cumbernauld. The Carrickstone Course, the senior layout, was originally designed by five-times Open champion James Braid in the 1920s, expanding the course from nine to eighteen holes. It was recently modernised by Dave Thomas, a Welsh former Ryder Cup player who also co-designed the neighbouring Westerwood course with Seve Ballesteros. The Carrickstone plays to 6,309 yards at par 70 and features a blend of traditional design influenced by Braid's philosophy alongside modern elements including expansive bunkers and sculpted mounding.
The Antonine Course, named after the nearby Roman wall, comprises thirteen new holes and five retained from the original layout, stretching 5,940 yards at par 70. Despite its shorter length, it presents greater difficulty. The club's name derives from the Gaelic phrase "dubh leitir," meaning dark hillslope. Both courses are well-maintained with modern practice facilities available.
