The Ashley Wood Golf Club Junior Open is an 18-hole individual medal (strokeplay) competition open to junior golfers. The event serves as a Justin Rose Daily Telegraph and Lynx Tour qualifier. Mixed divisions are available for handicap indices 0-18 and 19-54. Entry fee is £25 for visitors and £20 for members. Prizes are awarded to the top 3 in each mixed net division and top 3 scratch. Additional prizes include nearest the pin on all four par 3 holes. The event includes lunch after golf, a goody bag, and on-course refreshments. A 95% handicap allowance is applied. Entries close on 3rd August 2026. Entries can be submitted via email to generalmanager@ashleywoodgolfclub.com using the entry form, or booked online via the BRS Golf booking system. Ashley Wood Golf Club is a members' course located in Blandford Forum, Dorset, approximately 30 minutes from Bournemouth and Poole. The course is built on chalk downland with notable elevation, allowing it to remain open virtually year-round even during winter conditions. The 18-hole course features challenging par-4s as its signature holes, with featured holes including the 1st (540 yards, Par 5), 2nd (407 yards, Par 4), 5th (409 yards, Par 4), 10th (440 yards, Par 4), 16th (437 yards, Par 4), and 17th (424 yards, Par 4). The course presents a test for golfers of all abilities and skill levels. The club has been described by commentator Peter Alliss as "The best kept secret in Dorset."
