The Wimborne Cup is a 36-hole amateur scratch individual strokeplay competition held at Parkstone Golf Club on Saturday 20th June 2026. Open to male amateur golfers who are members of a golf club with a Handicap Index of 4.0 or lower. A minimum of 20 scores (10 competition rounds) must be on the player's handicap record. Players with more than eight general play scores in their most recent 20 will be assessed for ability relative to their handicap. Should entries exceed 60, a handicap ballot will be used, though the Organising Committee reserves the right to include 6 Parkstone members in the final start sheet. The entry fee is £125 for visitors and £50 for Parkstone members, which includes a buffet lunch and prizes. Sign-up opens on Monday 11th May at 12:00, with entries closing on Thursday 4th June. Competitors are permitted one practice round during the week prior at a reduced rate of £50. In the event of a tie for 1st place, a strokeplay play-off is held over holes 1, 2, and 18, followed by sudden death if still tied; other tied places are decided by count back. Prizes (prize fund value TBC) are presented at the club following play.

Parkstone Golf Club, located between Bournemouth and Poole on Dorset's South Coast, is ranked in the top 100 golf courses in Great Britain and Ireland by both Golf Monthly and Golf World magazines. Founded in 1909 by Lord Wimborne, the course has established itself as one of the finest on the South Coast, famously described by 1938 Open Championship winner Reg Whitcombe as "There Is No Better Place."
