Description

The Men's Open at Farnham Golf Club, played on Sunday 21st June 2026. This is a 36-hole individual medal (strokeplay) competition played off the Silver Tees, with a 95% handicap allowance. It is an S.C.G.U. Order of Merit Qualifier. Entries are open from 18th February 2026 at 10am, with a closing date of 18th May 2026. The maximum field size is 72 players; entry is subject to a handicap ballot if oversubscribed, with places allocated in handicap order. A CDH number is required for entry. Minimum age for entry is 14 years; players under 18 must hold a handicap index of 9 or less. Maximum handicap index for entry is 15 (maximum stroke allowance 12). Entry fee is £100 for visitors and £60 for members, and includes coffee, bacon roll, lunch, and sandwiches. Prize vouchers are awarded based on a full field. The Silver Frigate Trophy is awarded to the net winner; the Silver Sword Trophy is awarded to the scratch (gross) winner.
