Ranking Competition

The Golf Club de Thumeries-Moncheaux hosts a regular 'Ranking Competition' (Compétition de Classement) throughout the year, including on Sundays. The event on 2 August 2026 is one such occurrence. The competition is open to visitors and members. Entry is made via the club's website or at the club-house, with a deadline typically two days before the event at 14:30 (for Sunday competitions, this is Friday at 14:30). Visitors are required to hold a valid FFGolf license for the current year. The green-fee for the competition is the standard tariff for the day; an entry fee covers part of the terrain, staff, and the post-competition reception ('pot de l'amitié'). The event is played as an individual competition using Stableford scoring, consistent with the club's general competition rules. Tee times are allocated based on handicap index, with players required to be ready at their starting point at least 5 minutes before their scheduled time. Start times are available on the website or by phone from the Friday before (or the day before for weekday competitions) from 18:00. Mobile phone communications are prohibited during competition; phones must be switched off or set to silent. Distance-measuring devices are permitted unless otherwise stated, but devices providing slope, wind speed, or temperature information are not allowed. The club welcomes visiting golfers and requires an active FFGolf license and medical certificate for all participants.
