Located in Kakato City, Hyogo Prefecture, Tojo no Mori Country Club is a sprawling 63-hole facility comprising three distinct courses: the Tojo, Okura, and Ujo courses. The Tojo Course, a 7,503-yard, par-72 layout, is the longest in the Kansai region and serves as the club's premier championship venue. Opened in 1972, it has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including the East-West Team Competition in 1973, the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association tournament in 1991, the Kansai Open in 1994, and the Japan Pro Senior Championship in 2012. The course is known for its strategic depth, featuring wide fairways that conceal hazards and demanding elevation changes, such as the 10-yard uphill approach on the par-3 fourth hole and the 667-yard par-5 twelfth hole. The Okura Course offers a 27-hole, par-108 layout with a total distance of 9,563 yards, designed to provide a relaxing experience for golfers of all skill levels. The course features trees and ponds strategically placed to enhance strategy, with subtle fairway undulations adding complexity. Notable holes include the 585-yard back nine opener and the 523-yard eighth hole on the back nine, which requires a drive to the left side of a dogleg. The course also features several par-3s, including the 146-yard seventh hole on the back nine, which plays over a valley to a steep green. The Ujo Course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout measuring 6,512 yards, described as a "premier" stage for seasoned players. The course is characterized by its contrast between deep green trees and clear water hazards. A signature hole is the 173-yard par-3 fifteenth, which is surrounded by water, requiring precise distance control. The course also features the 521-yard par-5 eighteenth hole, where players must navigate a water hazard on the left side while avoiding out-of-bounds on the right. The Ujo Course has hosted the Western Japan Pro Senior Tournament and is known for its challenging layout that demands both skill and strategy.
