The Pines Twilight is a weekly 9-hole social golf competition held every Tuesday from 3pm to 6pm at The Pines Golf Club in Whangarei. The event is open to all golfers regardless of ability or handicap. Affiliated golfers (those with official handicaps) compete in the affiliated division, while non-affiliated golfers are given an unofficial starting handicap that is adjusted weekly based on performance. Entry fee is $10 for non-members, $7 for members of any club, $2 for juniors, and $20 for cart hire. The competition is played over 9 holes with stableford scoring. After the round, players can enjoy a cold drink, a bite to eat from the full catering menu, and attend the prize-giving which includes ham raffles. The event is family-friendly and welcomes beginners as well as experienced golfers.
