Senkari Country Club is an 18-hole golf course located in the hills of Kitakawachi, Settsu, Osaka. Established by Kwansei Gakuin University in 1965, the course was designed by J.E. Crane and opened for play that same year. The facility is situated in the northern Osaka region, offering views of the Hattori Mountains, and operates as a members-only club with a history of hosting various regional and national amateur tournaments. The course layout features a variety of challenges, including uphill and downhill holes, with significant elevation changes affecting club selection. The front nine totals 3,339 yards from the black tees, while the back nine extends to 3,339 yards, bringing the total par to 72. Notable holes include the fifth, a 564-yard par 5 that is the longest on the course, and the seventh, a 547-yard par 5 that plays downhill. The par 3s vary in length, with the eleventh hole measuring 204 yards from the black tees and the eighth at 188 yards. The course utilizes six sets of tees, ranging from the orange tees at 2,237 yards for the front nine to the black tees at 3,339 yards, allowing for varying difficulty levels based on tee selection. Strategic elements are prominent throughout the round, with numerous bunkers and out-of-bounds areas defining the fairways. Several holes feature penalty areas where players may take relief with a one-stroke penalty from a designated drop zone. The greens are described as having various slopes and undulations, requiring precise approach shots. The course is maintained with Bentgrass greens and features fairways overseeded with ryegrass to ensure year-round green conditions. Senkari Country Club has a significant tournament history, having hosted the Kansai Senior Golf Championship, the Japan Senior Open Golf Championship Qualifying, and the Japan Mid-Amateur Golf Championship. The club also serves as a base for university and high school golf clubs, fostering the development of young players. The facility includes a clubhouse with dining facilities and has implemented modern navigation systems on its electric carts to assist players with distance and layout information.
