ABC Isumi Golf Course

千葉県, Japan

ABC Isumi Golf Course is a public 18-hole facility located in Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, situated approximately 70 kilometers from central Tokyo. The course is divided into an Out course (holes 1–9) and an In course (holes 10–18), with maps and visual guides available for each nine. The layout is designed to be accessible, featuring only 18 bunkers and no out-of-bounds areas, which allows players to expect good scores. The difficulty level is moderate, catering to a wide range of skill levels, with an emphasis on green reading and approach shots as key elements of the game. The facility includes a clubhouse with a Southern European-inspired design, spacious lockers, and a crystal bath for relaxation. A 7-bay driving range and a bunker/approach practice area are available for pre-round preparation. The course offers Yamaha 5-seater and 2-seater electric carts, and features a GPS navigation system with distance measurement and a leaderboard function for competitive play. A restaurant within the clubhouse provides lunch with a complimentary drink bar. Notable features include the "Shiitake Street" 7th hole, which has been restored after a period of closure, and the course's reputation for being one of the newer public golf courses in Chiba. The absence of out-of-bounds and the low number of bunkers contribute to a forgiving layout, while the focus on green reading adds a strategic element for those seeking to improve their scores. The course also supports early morning play and offers free shuttle service to a local restaurant for those who wish to enjoy drinks after their round.
