Club de Golf Base de Roc

Québec, Canada

Located in Joliette, Quebec, within the Lanaudière region, the Club de Golf Base de Roc is a standard 72-par, 18-hole course measuring 6,487 yards. The layout was developed by Alain St-Amour, who began construction on the family land in the mid-1970s. The project required eight years to complete, with the front nine finished in the first four years and the back nine following subsequently. The course opened in 1978 and is characterized by its natural setting, which is defined by the presence of the Assomption River and numerous water hazards that traverse the property. The terrain presents a significant challenge to golfers of all skill levels, utilizing the existing landscape to create a diverse array of holes. The front nine is noted for its water and sand obstacles, while the back nine continues this theme of varied challenges. The course is designed to offer a distinct experience on each side, with the river and ponds serving as prominent features throughout the round. The facility is open to the public, members, and tournament play, providing amenities such as a versatile clubhouse, a pro shop, electric carts, and extensive practice areas. The course is maintained to a high standard, aiming to provide a quality experience for its visitors.
